Today didn't start like any other day. In fact, it began last night with some ongoing war matters, followed by my morning routine of training, self-care, a few meetings, and follow-ups. Among these interactions, one stood out\u2014a fascinating conversation with <\/span>

\nProf. Idit Matot
\n<\/a>
\n<\/span> . I met Idit during my rehabilitation process, and we quickly became close friends who share a lot in common. Our discussion centered on a topic that often gets overlooked but is crucial for effective leadership and team dynamics.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Talking about "the elephant in the room" refers to addressing an obvious problem or risk that no one wants to discuss. It's a concept that's as old as time but remains as relevant today as ever. Idit and I pondered over when it's appropriate to bring up these uncomfortable topics and how doing so can serve us in leadership roles.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Bringing up the elephant in the room can significantly contribute to building trust. When leaders address what everyone is thinking but not saying, it sends a powerful message. It shows that we are leaders who are realistic, who see things as they are, and who are not afraid to confront issues head-on.
