Day 377 of 1,095: What Building a Startup Feels Like on the Hills

שיתוף פוסט זה

Last week, somewhere between kilometer 7 and a brutal uphill climb overlooking the Jerusalem skyline, I realized something.

This marathon I was running? It’s exactly what my startup journey feels like.

  • Steep climbs that burn your legs—and your soul.
  • Sharp turns where every misstep can cost you momentum.
  • People racing past you, sometimes seeing you as their competition rather than their ally.
  • Moments of pure flow, where the view, the purpose, and the mission sync into one feeling: this is why I do it.
  • Unexpected dips, slow trudges, and stretches of mind-numbing monotony.

And yet, every day I run. Every day, I show up to this startup. Because building something that aims to change reality—for first responders, emergency services, and security forces—is a marathon. Not a sprint. And definitely not a walk in the park.

We’re building tools to help these heroes tap into their inner resilience when the stakes are highest. So I better learn how to build my own resilience first. That’s what the marathon teaches you.

  • Progress isn’t linear.
  • Community matters more than speed.
  • Movement—physical or emotional—is the secret to sanity.
  • And gratitude? It's not just a feel-good practice. It's a strategy for staying in the game.

So yes, I’m tired. And sore. And more energized than ever.

This is the journey. This is the privilege. And every day, I’ll do my best to run it smarter—not just faster.
