Let’s keep it short because today was one of those long days.
Today, I received feedback about areas I need to improve. It wasn’t sugar-coated, and it pointed out things I hadn’t even noticed. And you know what? It was invaluable.
Delivering sharp, unfiltered feedback is not easy, but when done right, it’s a gift. It helps us see blind spots, recalibrate, and grow. That’s the kind of feedback I got today—and I deeply appreciated it.
In my book, mistakes are welcome.
As long as we make them quickly.
And fix them even faster.
Mistakes are inevitable in startups. They’re not a bug—they’re a feature. But the speed and precision of our response? That’s what sets the best apart from the rest.
In our case, the stakes are high. We’re building something for those who serve and protect us—first responders, military personnel, and security forces worldwide. The goal of MentalDefense is to protect their mental health, preventing minor cracks from turning into major psychological injuries.
Because their mental well-being is the foundation of everything we take for granted: safety, security, and peace of mind.
This mission keeps us moving, even on the hardest days.
How do you process feedback that stings? What’s your go-to strategy for turning criticism into growth?
