Day 323 of 1,095: Managing Overload or Letting It Manage You?

שיתוף פוסט זה

Today felt like too much. Too many calls. Too many meetings. Too many tasks.

I juggled everything—product development, legal and financial preparations, pitch deck refinements, future planning, and, of course, some urgent war-related matters.

By the end of the day, I reminded myself of a hard truth:

You can’t sustain this level of overload for long.

Work overload is like lifting weights. If you don’t rest, your muscles won’t grow—they’ll tear. The same applies to our mental load. We can push through for a while, but without focus and prioritization, we risk burning out or—worse—getting stuck in the endless loop of busyness without real progress.

Yes, I got through today. But did I do my best work? Could I have been more strategic, less reactive? Probably.

So, here’s where I hold myself accountable:

  • Self-compassion is key—but so is setting clear priorities.
  • Gratitude matters—but so does knowing when to cut out the noise.
  • Momentum is great—but not if it’s just movement without impact.

We all face this balancing act—between doing what feels urgent and focusing on what truly moves the needle.

How do you filter out the noise and stay focused on what really matters?
