Day 352 of 1,095: Never Act Like a Committee Member

שיתוף פוסט זה

There are moments when you put everything into something—preparation, effort, passion—only to feel that the people in front of you just aren’t truly present. Today was one of those days.

We came prepared. We worked hard. The timing wasn’t perfect, and the conditions weren’t ideal, but we showed up and gave it everything we had. And yet, as we presented, I couldn’t shake the feeling that part of the room wasn’t really with us. People were on their phones, lost in their screens, distracted.

But let me be clear: this is on me. As a founder, it’s my job to tell our story in a way that commands attention, that breaks through the noise. Today, I wasn’t sharp enough. I didn’t sell our mission as powerfully as I could have. I could have listened better, adapted better, and trained my sales muscle more. That’s something I need to work on.

That said, I still believe this: if you’re ever on the other side of the table—listen. Startup founders pour their hearts and souls into what they do. The least they deserve is your full attention. This isn’t the time to check emails or scroll through messages.

Be present. Engage. Respect the effort in front of you.

At the end of the day, what’s meant to happen will happen. But we’re here to make sure it happens faster, better, and for those who need it most.

We’ll keep showing up, refining, improving—until we succeed. Because nothing is more important than this mission.
