Some days are just different. Today was one of those days—a day to stand up, to fight for what we believe in.
And if you think this has nothing to do with startups or leadership, think again.
Building a startup is an act of defiance. You don’t accept things as they are. You see a problem, and instead of waiting for someone else to solve it, you take responsibility. You build. You push boundaries.
Leadership—whether in business or in society—is the same. It means knowing what you stand for. It means defining your red lines and acting when they’re crossed. It means choosing action over passive frustration.
I remember a pivotal moment in my startup journey when we faced a tough decision. A lucrative business opportunity came knocking, but it clashed with our core values. Saying yes would have meant short-term gains but long-term compromise.
It wasn’t easy, but it was the right call. And looking back, it reinforced everything we stood for—integrity, innovation, and creating real impact.
Just as we build resilience for our security forces and emergency responders, we must also build resilience in our society. We must follow our conscience, protect democracy, and uphold the spirit of Israeli innovation—bold, ethical, and forward-thinking.
In startups, in leadership, and in life, we are defined by the battles we choose to fight. So here’s my question to you:
What’s one value you refuse to compromise on? And when was the last time you took a stand for it?
