Day 372 of 1,095: Energy Management & Focusing on What Truly Matters

שיתוף פוסט זה

Not every day is built for peak performance.

Lately, my energy hasn't been at its best. Thoughts racing, tasks piling up, and that familiar mental fog that makes it hard to tell what's urgent and what's simply loud.

As a founder, this is the part we don’t talk about enough. The days when resilience isn’t a buzzword, it’s a muscle that aches. When you're building something from zero to one, it’s not just strategy—it’s stamina. And sometimes, that stamina falters.

But here’s what I’ve learned: I can either sit with the overwhelm until it consumes me, or I can call it what it is—noise—and return to the essentials.

Mindfulness helps. Movement helps. But more than anything, clarity helps.

Clarity around what truly matters:

  • Getting the product to the first pilot.
  • Showing up each day with just enough energy to move the needle.
  • Letting go of perfection and leaning into presence.

This isn’t the season for 10x. It’s the season for 1% better. For asking:

I’m learning to meet myself where I am—with focus when possible, with compassion when needed. Especially in complex times like these, ignoring the emotional weight isn’t bravery—it’s blindness.

So here’s my commitment: To stay close to what matters, to build resilience in small, steady ways, and to remember that being human is part of being a founder.

What do you do when your energy dips—but the mission still matters? I’d love to hear from other builders navigating this too.
