Starting a startup is never a walk in the park. It's an intricate dance of planning, execution, and constant refinement. This is especially true when you're managing a live podcast alongside running a startup. Today, I want to share insights from Day 60 of my 3-year journey—specifically how to streamline complex processes to make your entrepreneurial life a bit easier.
Morning Routine: Setting the Stage for Productivity
Every day begins with my morning rituals: meditation, revitalization routines, a workout, and some personal care. This isn't just about self-care; it's about setting a solid foundation for a day filled with meetings, pilot adjustments, and recording a new episode of my live podcast with

The Complexity of a Live Podcast
Running a live podcast is a herculean task. The preparation alone covers numerous technical aspects that can be overwhelming. To manage this effectively, we adopted Notion, a legendary tool for content, task, and project management. Notion helps us meticulously plan and automate our schedule.
As we faced the myriad steps required to produce a perfect live podcast, I realized the need to streamline and maximize efficiency. Running a startup is already incredibly complex, so why not simplify where we can?
Embracing AI for Efficiency
We use GenAI extensively in our podcast work. It allows us to complete tasks in a fraction of the time they would typically take. But that's a story for another day.
Steps to Simplify Complex Processes
If you're grappling with complexity in your projects or startup, consider these questions that have helped me and will likely help you too:
1. Reverse Engineering
What work needs to be done to complete the project? Break it down step-by-step and understand every component.
2. Identify Repetitive Actions
What tasks do you find yourself doing over and over again? Identifying these can help you see what could be automated or streamlined.
3. Tool Selection
Which tools can help you streamline your process? For me, it was Notion. What could it be for you? Research and choose tools that fit your workflow.
4. Automate Where Possible
What tasks can be automated? Understand the flow of operations and identify parts that don't require manual intervention.
5. Document and Iterate
Document the processes you’ve streamlined. Create checklists, add relevant links, and continuously refine them to make your workflow even more efficient.
Application Beyond Startups
These principles apply not only to startup projects but also to various life processes. Think about what you can streamline to save time and resources. Share your thoughts on what processes you believe could be streamlined to improve your efficiency.
