Today began calmly, a rarity given the severe realities outside. There's an ongoing war, hostages still in captivity, and my mind oscillates between goals, targets, pilots, and the overall state of alertness. It feels almost forced to take a moment to rest and unwind to recharge for the upcoming week. Yet, this is precisely what we must do to sustain our energy and continue moving forward.
Amid the typical chaos, an official announcement came through this afternoon – four hostages sent into captivity have returned home! 🎗 It was a divine moment of happiness, knowing they were rescued in a heroic operation. It was like a beam of light piercing through these dark times. Unfortunately, this joy was fleeting. Soon after, we learned that one of the soldiers involved in the operation had been killed. Once again, the brutal reminder of this cursed war hit hard.
This period is a complex mix of trying to build and drive a startup forward while constantly being pulled back by the harsh realities surrounding us. I found myself reflecting on that critical moment of breathing, that transient bliss that felt almost magical. How rare it is and how much it is missed.
I pondered ways to create more of these moments of air, these fleeting instances of happiness amidst the harsh reality we face daily. As of now, I don't have the answers. But as I end my day by the sea, seeking solace, I continue to think about it. I hope and pray for all the hostages to return safely.
