Day 304 of 1,095: When Your Startup Gets Personal

שיתוף פוסט זה

Some days in the entrepreneurial journey hit differently. They’re not just about work or progress. They dig deeper, reflecting who you are, your strengths, your weaknesses, and sometimes, your wounds. Day 304 of 1,095 was one of those days for me.

It was an intense day – full of focus and collaboration during a Design Sprint. A day of sharpening the problem, interviewing users, working hand-in-hand with partners and advisors, and pushing the process forward. These are the kinds of days that remind me why structure and discipline are so crucial – and how lucky I am to have such incredible people beside me on this rollercoaster of a journey.

But this day wasn’t just about productivity or progress. It was about reflection. The process touched something deeper in me – old pains, unresolved triggers. And it hit me: while we design, iterate, and solve problems for our users, we as leaders are sometimes solving problems within ourselves.

I realized that if I wanted to continue leading – to be the CEO, the commander, the person my team and I expect me to be – I needed to address this. To own it. To act.

So, I asked for help. Yes, the CEO – the one who’s supposed to have the answers – asked for support. Because real leadership isn’t about pretending to have it all figured out. It’s about taking responsibility, even when it’s uncomfortable. Especially when it’s uncomfortable.

As founders, we often talk about maintaining our startups: improving products, onboarding customers, keeping the engine running. But what about maintaining ourselves? What about upgrading our emotional resilience, our self-awareness, our ability to show up as our best selves?

Entrepreneurship isn’t just a journey of building a product or business. It’s a journey of building yourself.

So, let me ask you: where does your startup touch you on a personal level? What triggers or challenges have surfaced for you? And how do you work through them to keep growing, for yourself and your team?

I’d love to hear your thoughts. Let’s keep the conversation going – because if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that we’re all in this together.
