The sirens from Iran’s missile attacks had finally stopped. But inside, I wasn’t OK.
I answered honestly when someone asked me how I was doing. "Not okay." That was the truth.
Because when the house that was hit could’ve been yours — When the soldiers who were hurt are people you know — When the blast feels like it passed right by your body — You don’t go back to “normal.” Not yet. Not alone.
What happens when the body is safe — but the mind isn’t?
The missiles are gone. But our nervous system doesn’t know that. It’s still playing Russian roulette. Every sound. Every alert. We carry it in our chest, our sleep, our relationships.
And when you're juggling missions, family, and startup life… It’s tempting to act like everything is “back to business.”
But what if resilience doesn’t mean bouncing back quickly — It means allowing ourselves to rebuild, properly.
So we’re launching LAVI — early. Because waiting is not an option.
Over the last few months, we’ve been building LAVI — A digital companion for mental resilience. Built for people who don’t have time to burn out. For founders, soldiers, parents — for us.
The plan was to launch later. But after this last escalation, we all agreed: It has to be now.
This isn’t just tech. It’s personal.
Every founder builds from pain, from need, from truth. And here’s mine: I was operating on adrenaline. Handling everything. But inside? I was shutting down.
The hardest moment wasn’t during the sirens. It was the day after, when everything was “fine.” And I wasn’t.
Here are 10 micro-steps we’re using at LAVI — and you can too:
- Name what you feel. “I’m not okay” is a powerful sentence. Use it.
- Create a 5-minute buffer before sleep. Silence, dark, breath.
- Check-in with one friend — not to update, just to feel.
- Avoid "back to normal" talk. Create a new normal.
- Notice what triggers your tension — sound, smell, language.
- Choose one moment daily to slow down. Just one.
- Don’t wait to break down to ask for support.
- Use tech with intention. Not escape.
- Reward progress, not perfection.
- Remember: resilience is trained, not given.
So what now?
We're inviting a small group into the LAVI pilot. If you feel like your soul is still “under fire” — or know someone who does — Join us.
Let’s help our body and soul grow stronger — not in spite of the trauma, but through it.
Sending strength and softness. We all need both right now. And if you need a sign to pause — this is it.
